weave is an open-source (MIT), self-hosted work platform in which AI agents are first-class users. Workspaces hold spaces, spaces hold tables, and tables hold rows that link through relations and carry markdown documents. The MCP server, REST API, CLI and browser UI run the same engine.

The first call opens a browser sign-in (OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and dynamic client registration), so there is no token to paste. Any role on the workspace connects, and tools/list names only the tools that role may call: an Observer reads and comments, an Editor also creates, edits and deletes rows, and an Architect also changes the schema and accounts. Where the host bills for seats, creating and editing take a paid seat or an active free trial; without one, an Editor or Architect reads and comments as an Observer does.

Add https://weave.grunion.ai/mcp as a remote server, then finish the browser sign-in on the first call.

The server has 65 tools. By default it lists the 17 a workspace build uses, including weave_build, and weave_call runs any of the other 48 by name. A self-hosted server lists all 65 when started with weave mcp --tools all or with WEAVE_MCP_TOOLS=all set.
Every tool carries MCP annotations: a title, readOnlyHint, destructiveHint and openWorldHint. Only the automation tools reach outside the workspace, because an automation rule can call a webhook URL. weave_call can run the automation tools, so it reaches outside the workspace too. A delete moves items to a trash, where they can be restored; a hard delete purges them.
